The Jubilant Cherry

I love an adorable dessert that takes little to no effort. Bonus if it's delicious. This one is. I'm not kidding about the simple part. Making them is the easiest thing you'll do all day; even If all you want to do all day is lay on the sofa, watch Lifetime, and eat these tarts.
Ingredients:
1 package of refrigerated crescent rolls
1 three oz package of cream cheese
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1 cup of canned cherry pie filling

Start with a package of frozen crescent rolls and a floured counter. Unroll and knead the seams. P.S. Did you know that you can also pick up a roll without seams? Then you'll need to cut out small rounds that will be your tart crust. A juice glass works great for this part.
(No, it's not a coincidence that I used a juice glass decorated with cherries.)

Place the rounds in greased muffin cups. I tried a second batch with mini silicone baking cups and they also worked great. Beat the cream cheese and confectioners sugar and place a little blob, which I guess equates to about a 1/2 teaspoon, into each cup. Then add another little blob of the cherry pie filling. I found that two cherries with just a wee bit of syrup worked best for mine.

Bake at 375 for like 15 minutes, cool until you feel like you could probably stuff one into your mouth without scalding your tongue, and enjoy!
